Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2026-08-14

Rubic Painting & Renovation (operated by Attila Borondi, “we,” “us,” “our”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect through rubicpainting.ca, why we collect it, and what you can do about it.

Who we are

Rubic Painting & Renovation is a painting and renovation business operated by Attila Borondi, based in Maple Ridge, BC, serving the Metro Vancouver area.

  • Business name: Attila Borondi, doing business as Rubic Painting & Renovation

Attila Borondi is personally responsible for privacy at this business and is your contact for any question, request, or concern below.

What we collect

Information you give us directly, when you fill out our quote request form:

  • Full name
  • Email address
  • Phone number
  • Your message (project details, address, timing, etc. — whatever you choose to include)

Information collected automatically, when you browse the site:

  • IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited, and how you arrived at the site (e.g., from a Google search, a Facebook ad, or a referral)
  • This is collected through cookies and similar tracking tools — see Cookies & tracking below.

We don’t collect payment information through the website — quotes are provided after a site visit, and payment is arranged separately, not through the site.

How we use your information

We use what you submit to:

  • Call you back and discuss your project
  • Schedule a site visit and prepare a quote
  • Keep basic records of past quotes and jobs
  • Understand which pages and ads are actually bringing in customers, so we can spend our marketing budget better

We don’t sell your personal information, and we don’t use it for anything beyond what’s listed here without asking you first.

Cookies & tracking

Like most business websites, we use a few tools to see how the site is performing and to measure whether our ads are working:

  • Google Analytics — tells us how many people visit the site and which pages they look at.
  • Meta (Facebook/Instagram) Pixel — tells us whether someone who saw our Facebook or Instagram ad went on to visit the site or fill out the form.
  • Google Ads conversion tracking — tells us whether someone who saw our Google Ads ad went on to visit the site or fill out the form.

These tools use cookies and may collect data such as your IP address and browsing behaviour. Google and Meta process this data under their own privacy policies, and — since these are US-based companies — some of this information may be stored or processed outside Canada. You can limit this by adjusting your browser’s cookie settings, using your browser’s privacy mode, or opting out directly through Google’s Ads Settings or Meta’s Ad Preferences.

Turning off cookies won’t stop you from browsing the site or submitting the contact form — it just means we won’t be able to see how you found us.

Who we share it with

We don’t sell or rent your information to anyone. We may share it with:

  • Service providers who help us run the business — for example, our website host, email provider, or scheduling tools — only to the extent they need it to do that job.
  • Legal authorities, if we’re required to by law.

Any service provider we use is expected to keep your information confidential and use it only for the purpose we’ve asked them to.

How long we keep it

We keep quote requests and related correspondence for as long as it’s useful for running the business (for example, tracking past and repeat customers) and then delete it. If you’d like your information deleted sooner, just ask — see Your rights below.

How we protect it

We take reasonable steps to protect your information from loss, misuse, or unauthorized access — for example, keeping our email and website accounts secured with strong passwords and limiting who has access to customer information.

No online system is 100% secure, but we don’t collect anything beyond what’s needed to give you a quote and get your project done.

Your rights

Under BC’s privacy law, you can ask us to:

  • Tell you what personal information we hold about you
  • Correct anything that’s inaccurate
  • Delete your information, once it’s no longer needed for the purpose you gave it to us for
  • Withdraw consent for us to contact you (though this may mean we can’t follow up on a quote request)

To do any of this, just contact us at info@rubicpainting.ca or +1 778 233 0644. We’ll respond within 30 days.

Complaints

If you’re not happy with how we’ve handled your personal information, we’d genuinely like the chance to fix it first — contact us directly. If you’re still not satisfied, you can file a complaint with:

Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia (OIPC)
PO Box 9038, Stn. Prov. Govt., Victoria, BC V8W 9A4

Children’s privacy

This site isn’t directed at children, and we don’t knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time — for example, if we start using a new tool or service. The “Last updated” date at the top will always reflect the most recent version. If changes are significant, we’ll make that clear on the site.
